Current_Events_Panel_SyriaOn Wednesday Sept 25, from 3-5pm in the Willis Library Forum, UNT’s Model International Organization and Contemporary Arab+Muslim Cultural Studies Institute will co-host a panel on the current state of Syria. Panelists include Professors Emile Saliyeh (who will speak on the role of the international community), Ozlem Altiok (who will cover the impact of the conflict on Turkey, the Kurds, and refugees in general),  Assad Naji (who will address the domestic side of the conflict in Syria), and Nancy Stockdale (who will provide insight on the US response).   Each panelist will speak for 15-20 minutes, and then there will be a 40-minute Q&A. The event is free, and all are welcome to attend.
